No matter if you support the actual reasons for going in to Iraq and Afghanistan, I think the abuse and violence perpetrated by those who think it is okay to stone a woman simply for showing her face is a good enough reason to stay…..no culture, country, or religious fanaticism should condone these actions.
Oh Lord be with these women. My heart and my prayers go out to them.

I want to buy a book, a book that I’ve never heard of, never read. Look at the cover, read the back, flip through the pages. Bring it home. Grab a highlighter, and begin to read the book. Every time there is a sentence, a word, a phrase that I can relate to, I will highlight it. Then, once I am done the book, I will be able to flip through it and see exactly how I was feeling each day that I was reading. It would be like a diary, but written in someone else’s words

600,000 women die every year from pregnancy and childbirth complications.
98% of them live in developing nations. And a lot of these deaths are preventable.
I don’t know about you, but that breaks my heart. You might not have the capacity to go do anything about it, but I do. I am going to be trained as a midwife through an organization called Youth With A Mission this coming July, and then being sent into countries such as India and Tanzania to deliver babies and help these women.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Whether you believe in God or not, this is more than that, it’s helping women and babies that are going to die without proper care.
